[ENG] Florence Behar Aboudaram (b. 1975 to a family of North African, Middle Eastern, Italian and Spanish descent) is a portrait, travel, and lifestyle french photographer based in Marseille. She works on both personal and commissioned projects, using digital and analog formats.

After a career in communications and production within the cultural and media industries in Paris, and a lifelong practice of photographing figures from cinema, music…she gradually turned to image-making professionally, graduating from ENSP in Arles/France.

Her practice lies within the realm of the intimate. Passionate about people and what moves them, she explores the body as a territory of presence and silent metamorphosis, with particular attention to the feminine and its relationship to the surrounding environment. Her work delves into themes such as desire, absence, identity, memory and transmission, deeply personal subjects that resonate with the universal. She also draws inspiration from her travels, especially around the Mediterranean Sea.

Balancing artistic vision and documentary approach, her work unfolds through long-term immersive projects, closely observing communities and the emotional bonds that unite them.

[FR] Florence Behar Aboudaram (née en 1975) est une photographe française basée à Marseille spécialisée dans le portrait, le voyage et le lifestyle. Elle travaille sur des projets personnels et des commandes, en numérique et argentique.

Après une carrière dans la communication et la production audiovisuelle à Paris, et des années à photographier des artistes du cinéma et de la musique, elle s’est tournée vers l’image en tant que professionnelle, diplômée de l’ENSP à Arles.

Sa pratique s’inscrit dans le champ de l’intime. Passionnée par l’humain et ce qui le traverse, elle explore le corps comme un territoire de présence et de métamorphose silencieuse, en portant une attention particulière au féminin et à sa relation avec l’environnement. Son travail aborde des thématiques telles que le désir, l’absence, l’identité, la mémoire et la transmission ; des sujets profondément personnels qui résonnent avec l’universel. Elle puise également son inspiration dans ses voyages, particulièrement autour de la Méditerranée.

Tantôt artistique, tantôt documentaire, sa démarche repose sur une approche immersive au long cours, au plus près des communautés et des liens affectifs qu’elle observe.
